The tablet comes with 8GB or 16GB internal memory option and also has a MicroSD card slot (Supports upto 32GB external space) just in case you need to expand the memory. The tablet comes with 3700 mAH battery which lasts well for around 5 hours on normal usage. Ainol Novo 7 Elf II also has a 2 MP front camera although it misses out on Rear camera.
Thus Ainol Novo 7 Elf II looks a pretty solidly built cheap android tablet considering it’s price of just $128.
Build Quality, Display and Capacitive Screen Response
Ainol Novo 7 Elf II costs just around $128 and to be frank we didn’t really expect anything ordinary with the tablet’s built. However we were surprised when we first saw the tablet, it looks absolutely gorgeous, has a real premium feel to the tablet and shows off that the tablet is actually very sturdy and is there to last for real long. Also the tablet is fairly thin at just 11 MM so you aren’t going to feel anything bulkier when you are holding the tablet.
Display of Ainol Novo 7 Elf II isn’t anything real extraordinary (and you can’t actually expect a Retina Display in $100 tablet) however the tablet definitely has a pretty decent and good to use display. It features a 7 Inch HD display which supports 1024 X 600 pixels.
The best thing about the Novo 7 Elf II is it’s display, it works absolutely flawless thanks to the brilliant touch sensitive response and powerful Processor. So you aren’t going to feel any lag when you use your Ainol Novo 7 Elf II.

Another place where Ainol Novo 7 Elf II stands out, Novo 7 Elf II has a powerful ARM Cortex A9 Amlogic8726-M6 Dual Core 1.5GHz Processor and Mali 400 GPU. So this work real well when you are using your tablet for performing work or play. The tablet also has a 1 GB DDR3 ram which would definitely enhance the tablet’s performance. So you could use this tablet to play games or do a lot of multi tasing fairly easy.
Android OS and Interface
Ainol Novo 7 Elf II comes preloaded with Android 4.0.3 (ICS) so that itself is great for a $128 tablet. We all love Android OS and it’s at its best on this tablet due to Highly Powerful Processor. However the tablet misses out on Custom tweaks by the manufacturer but we all know how Open Android is and we can customize it as per our interests. The tablet does have an Android Play store pre installed from where you can install any app or wonderful widgets on your best android tablet.
Battery
Ainol Novo 7 Elf II comes with 3700 mAH battery which we feel is a bit on lower side as compared to the tablet. We would have been more interested in seeing a battery with over 5000 mAH so that the tablet could given enough back up. With this 3700 mAH battery you can expect close to 4-5 hours of back up on normal usage with browsing. However when you play regular games or watch movies expect your tablet to give around 2-3 hrs of back up. So not really a portable tablet since you can’t use it for long at one stance and may need to find electrical sockets. Thus we would have loved to see a tablet with higher battery capacitive or even better Ainol should have offered two battery much like Chinese phones .
Price – Ainol Novo 7 Elf II
If you are thinking that such a beautiful tablet would cost a lot of money, then you aren’t really correct. Ainol Novo 7 Elf II comes at a price of $128 from Aliexpress. Also you can find the tablet on Ebay but thay would be a bit costlier.
Verdict
Ainol Novo 7 Elf II is a best android 4.0 tablet at it’s price and has more features than you can find in any other tablet at this price range. Thus for us it would be definitely recommended product. The closest competitor for this tablet would have to be Google Nexus 7 but it has a significant price difference which is nearly $75.
